Chris lives and writes in Gloucester, England.  He is currently completing his debut novel, “Saccharin State.”


Chris’ work has been commended by the Sean O'Faolain Short Story Competition 2009, highly commended by the Independent On Sunday, shortlisted by Fish Publishing on three occasions, and twice reviewed by Chuck Palahniuk as a double finalist in his current anthology competition.  His fiction has been published by Open Wide Magazine, 1000th Monkey and A Cup Of Joe - Coffee House Flash Fiction Collection, and is forthcoming in Stymie Magazine and Opium.  Chris’ travel writing has been published in The Telegraph and by Bradt Travel Guides.  His writing developed through the teaching of Chuck Palahniuk and Craig Clevenger. 


Chris graduated from The Royal Academy of Music as a classical guitarist.  He continued studying in Spain with the maestros Jose Tomas and Alex Garrobe, and has performed throughout the world.  His music can be found at www.chrisnicholsonline.com and                 .
